One of the greatest attributes of God is His abundant Mercy. He is Oft-Returning to Mercy and Forgiving. But we, His servants, must be worthy of His Forgiveness. We must take the proper steps to receive His Forgiveness. And one of those steps is that we must correct our wrongs. Our fathers were brought into slavery, not to be made equal citizens, but to be made burden-bearers of the citizens of America.  Organizations that were founded and developed to ease our plight have been systematically destroyed. Now hatred is budding between the two people; a hatred that is bound to bring clashing and revolution. The proper steps must be taken. We must correct the wrong. There is an increase of disease, insanity, sickness, murder, rape, robbery and mayhem. The society is being pulled apart by conflict; people are crying out for justice. According to history, four peoples were involved in bringing our fathers into slavery, some Arabs, Jews, Europeans and Africans.  Was it right that lan...

True Friend

Nay, We hurl the Truth against falsehood, so it knocks out its brains, and lo! it vanishes. And woe to you for what you describe!  Holy Qur’an 21:17-18 In an edition of Ebony magazine, under the byline of Lerone Bennett, 17 historians had gotten together and picked the 50 most important figures in Black American history, and the persons who chose these names are considered by Ebony magazine, “experts.” The Honorable Elijah Muhammad’s student Malcolm X was mentioned. Would there have been a Malcolm X if there were no Honorable Elijah Muhammad? The Honorable Elijah Muhammad influenced the writings of James Baldwin, Amiri Baraka, Maya Angelou, John Killens, Louis Lomax and most of the writers who were popular in the 1960s. His influence is seen today in the writings of Toni Morrison and Alex Haley. His teachings inspired Alex Haley to do the research that led to the book “Roots.” He influenced playwrights, poets, musicians. There is no field of human endeavor among Black people...

War

When coal was the number one energy in the world, Great Britain ruled the world. From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli. We will fight our country’s battles on the land and on the sea. For what? Oil! Iraq has a lot of oil, and next door is Iran which has lots of oil. In Iran, there was a man by the name of Mohammed Mossadegh and he nationalized the oil. He wanted to use the oil to raise the standard of living of the Iranian people. What’s wrong with that? There’s nothing wrong with that to our eyes, but something was wrong with that to the eyes of the rich and the powerful. So they organized a coup and overthrew him and placed a man on the throne called the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. As that was their man in Iran, they gave him weapons, modern planes, but he was a Muslim, but he was not deep in the religion. So under him, the religion suffered. So the people that wanted their religion to come back to purity started organizing. The leader of that was Imam K...

California walloped by winter storm with high winds and heavy rain and snow California was walloped Feb. 16 by a powerful winter storm carrying treacherous thunderstorms, high winds and heavy snow in mountain areas. Millions of Los Angeles County residents faced flash flood warnings as rain pounded the region and people in some areas scarred by last year’s devastating wildfires were under an evacuation warning through Feb. 17 because of the potential for mud and debris flows. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass ordered emergency crews and city departments to be ready to respond to any problems. --- The storm wreaked havoc on roadways spanning from Sonoma County to the Sierra Nevada. Traffic was halted temporarily in both directions on I-80 near the Nevada state line due to spinouts and crashes, the California Department of Transportation reported. In Santa Barbara County, a large tree toppled onto US-101, shutting down southbound lanes. It has seemed ‘springlike’ for a large part of...

France resumes Gaza evacuations

Image
After a three-month hiatus,   France   has resumed evacuations of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, diplomatic sources confirmed to   The Jerusalem Post   on Thursday. Done with little to no fanfare, the first of the new evacuations took place on October 26, with 20 French government scholarship holders exiting the Strip. Those permitted to exit Gaza were already on the scheduled evacuation list for August 6,   which never went ahead . These operations are being carried out under extremely difficult conditions on the ground and involve very high risks for both the evacuees and the people operating the convoys. They are also dependent on local authorizations that must be obtained in order to leave the enclave and then travel to France. The sources noted that, despite their best efforts, not all the necessary authorizations could be obtained in time for the October 26 operation, and the number of people evacuated, unfortunately, had to be reduced. However, the Fre...

Canada, France, UK slam IDF's 'destructive campaign' in Gaza

Displaced Palestinians, fleeing northern Gaza due to an Israeli military operation, move southward after Israeli forces ordered residents of Gaza City to evacuate to the south, in the central Gaza Strip September 15, 2025. Canadian, French, and British foreign ministers slammed the IDF's incursion into Gaza City late on Tuesday.  Canada's foreign ministry called Israel's new ground offensive in Gaza City"horrific." It worsens the humanitarian crisis and jeopardizes the release of the hostages. The Government of Israel must adhere to international law. Additionally, France "strongly condemned" the operation, which it called a “destructive campaign” that “no longer has a military rationale.  The French foreign ministry urged that the Gaza City offensive stop and called for an immediate resumption of negotiations for a ceasefire and hostage deal.  Newly appointed UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper called the operation "utterly reckless and appalling....

The   New York Knicks   have threatened to take legal action against   Zohran Mamdani   after the politician used a modified version of the Knicks logo in campaign advertisements on Wednesday, according to several American news outlets.  Representatives of the basketball team issued a cease-and-desist letter to Mamdani, a democratic socialist currently running for New York City mayor, on Friday. The  New York Post  reported that Knicks representatives suspected that the ad was likely intended to mislead the public into believing that the Campaign is affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by, or in some way connected with the Knicks.
